Avanti’s impact stems from both our grantmaking and our impact-aligned investments. Through these complementary tools, we aim to support community-driven solutions and unlock financing that fills critical gaps—particularly in the housing and community economic development space.

Avanti’s approach is grounded in trust, relationships, and responsiveness. We aim to be a reliable, long-term partner to community organizations—especially those led by or deeply embedded in the communities they serve.

We are committed to:

• Multi-year funding that allows for long-term planning and flexibility

• Less restrictive grants, responsive to organizational and community-defined needs

• Strong relationships, grounded in trust and mutual learning

• Non-prescriptive reporting; we don’t need “hard numbers” but look for evidence of progress, reflection, and contribution to meaningful outcomes

• Blended capital, including exploring impact investments and patient capital alongside traditional grants
